This series documents the diverse geography of Victoria’s southern coastline, from the limestone formations of the Twelve Apostles to the rugged landscapes of the Otway region. The collection emphasizes technical precision in challenging coastal lighting, featuring a mix of ground-level compositions and high-altitude aerial perspectives. In addition to the landscape study, the project includes a focus on regional wildlife, documenting native species within their natural habitats.
This collection is a study of power and scale. It represents my latest work from the Riverfire 2025 event, where I aimed to capture the dramatic energy of the Royal Australian Air Force's flyovers from a fresh perspective. Rather than focusing solely on the spectacle, I sought to frame the aircraft against the urban environment of Brisbane.
By juxtaposing the raw power of these machines with the city's modern architecture, I was able to create a unique narrative. The series explores the contrast between the fluid motion of flight and the static, geometric lines of skyscrapers and bridges. Presented in a mix of colour and black and white, these photographs highlight the fine balance between human ingenuity and the overwhelming force of these aircraft, immortalising a few fleeting moments of urban flight.
